Terms of Service

SyncMyCopy · Last updated 1 August 2026

These terms cover your use of SyncMyCopy, a Chrome extension for saving, highlighting and organising what you read on the web. By installing or using SyncMyCopy, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

In plain terms: SyncMyCopy is run by one person. Your content lives in your own Google Drive, not on my servers. Bookmark sync is free; the research features are a paid subscription after a free trial. You can cancel any time and keep your data.

1. Who provides SyncMyCopy

SyncMyCopy is built and operated by Shubham Davey, a solo founder ("I", "me", "my"). You can reach me at support@syncmycopy.com.

2. What SyncMyCopy does

SyncMyCopy lets you highlight web pages, add notes and tags, save snapshots and clips of pages, organise them into projects, keep a scratchpad, and sync your browser bookmarks. Your content is stored on your own device and in your own Google Drive. Full details of data handling are in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

3. Your Google account

SyncMyCopy signs you in with Google to sync your data through your own Google Drive. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. You must be old enough to hold a Google account and to enter into these terms in your country (and at least 13).

4. Free plan, trial and premium

  • Free, for everyone: bookmark sync across your browsers is free, with no card and no time limit.
  • 14-day free trial: when you start, the premium features (syncing highlights, notes, snapshots, clips and projects across browsers, plus AI features) are free to try for 14 days.
  • Premium subscription: after the trial, keeping the premium features costs $3.14 per month or $31.40 per year. Prices may change; any change will be shown before it applies to you.
  • Billing: subscriptions are billed through PayPal and renew automatically until you cancel.
  • Cancelling: you can cancel any time from PayPal or by contacting me. On cancellation, premium features stop at the end of the current billing period, and your data remains yours in your Google Drive.
  • Refunds: if something is not right, email me and I will try to make it fair.

5. Your content is yours

You keep all rights to the highlights, notes, snapshots, clips, projects and bookmarks you create. Because they are stored in your own Google Drive and on your own device, you control them and can export or delete them at any time. I claim no ownership of your content and do not use it except to provide the features you use.

6. AI features (bring your own key)

AI features are optional and run on an API key you provide for a third-party provider (such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Perplexity). When you use them, requests go directly from your browser to that provider. You are responsible for your own API key, for any charges your provider bills you, and for complying with that provider's terms. I do not control and am not responsible for third-party AI providers or their output.

7. Acceptable use

Please use SyncMyCopy lawfully. Do not use it to break the law, to infringe others' rights, to try to breach or overload the service, or to reverse-engineer or misuse it in ways these terms do not allow. You are responsible for the pages you save and how you use what you save.

8. Third-party services

SyncMyCopy relies on services you connect it to or that run it, including Google (sign-in and Drive), PayPal (payments) and any AI provider whose key you add. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. I am not responsible for third-party services.

9. My intellectual property

The SyncMyCopy extension, name, and website are my property and are protected by law. These terms do not give you any right to my code, brand or design beyond using the extension as intended.

10. Availability and changes to the service

I work to keep SyncMyCopy running, but I cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. I may add, change or remove features, and I may suspend or discontinue the service. If I ever discontinue it, your content stays in your own Google Drive, untouched, so you keep everything you saved.

11. No warranty

SyncMyCopy is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the extent the law allows. I do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that it will meet your particular needs.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of SyncMyCopy. Where liability cannot be excluded, my total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid me for SyncMyCopy in the twelve months before the claim.

13. Termination

You can stop using SyncMyCopy and remove it at any time. I may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. On termination, your content remains in your own Google Drive.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

15. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I will change the "last updated" date above, and material changes will be reflected before they take effect. Continuing to use SyncMyCopy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
